The Early Days of TV

After 2 years Orphaned Entertainment finally tunes in to some classic TV from the 40’s and 50’s! Christopher and Lydia turn on a 1949 episode of The Goldbergs, The Lucky Strike Program with Jack Benny from 1952 and finish with an episode of The Life of Riley from 1953.

The Great Rupert (1950)

Barry, Lydia and Christopher are just nuts over the little squirrel, Rupert, in the 1950 Jimmy Durante film, The Great Rupert! (aka, A Christmas Wish)

Christopher gives it a 3 1/2,
and Barry gives it a 3 and says “it immediately gives you a wonderful character,dazzles you with George Pal effects, then puts everyone’s favorite jump roping squirrel in the background for most of the running time. Lots of charm and a distinctly Capra-esque feel but needed more Rupert.
